Planning the Perfect Engagement Proposal in the Piedmont Triad | Piedmont Triad Engagement

Planning an engagement proposal in the Piedmont Triad can create a great deal of pressure and expectation on everyone involved with it! Getting up the courage to ask someone to marry you is already hard enough without the added stress of setting up the day to be perfect. So, here’s a list of a few things you can do to make it the perfect proposal!

Make sure it’s Meaningful and Sentimental

When planning a proposal, the first thing you should do is make your significant other feel special. You should try to choosing a meaningful location that you both will treasure. If you enjoy walks or scenery, then perhaps Reynolda Gardens or the Greensboro Arboretum would be a good place for you to propose. Or if you enjoy simple quality time, then the Winston-Salem Picnic Ladies can provide you and your significant other an amazing chance to just enjoy the day together.

Get loved ones involved

It may be a bit archaic to ask your significant other’s family about marriage, but being able to loop them into the engagement proposal is an excellent idea. This helps with several things. First, it’s easy to sneakily get ring sizes for your significant other. Secondly, it helps to welcome you into the family. Thirdly, sisters or mothers or friends can help make sure that your significant other is well dressed and feeling beautiful for such a memorable day.

Figuring it out

Perhaps one of the most difficult things I see during proposals is when your significant other figures it out. So, let me just say that it’s okay! When your loved one figures out that you’re about to propose, it doesn’t ruin the surprise! If anything, the excitement and joy from figuring it out can make your significant other feel seen, loved, and treasured. And, that’s what’s important.

Getting the photographer involved

Lastly, and most importantly in my very biased opinion, make sure that I can be there! I’d love to be able to capture your engagement proposal in the Piedmont Triad area! Having those photos can be a treasured addition to your burgeoning collection of family photos. Here’s a couple tips to consider: First, try to time your outing for the last hour of daylight, so we can hit Golden Hour and get those dreamy photos! And, secondly, don’t be afraid to get family involved here, too. They can help with making sure that I’m in the right place and ready to take photos when you pop the question!
